Unsupported stuff
Although written and supplied by Apple, they are unsupported, simply because they haven't gone through the whole test suite. However, they have been tested before dropped here, so you shouldn't worry too much. Fixes for 3.0 only are found in 3.0; for 3.0.1 only are in 3.0.1; for 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2 are in 3.0.x; for 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2 and 3.1 in 3.x.x. Present files include:

rpc.rstatd
Now provides correct load average info. Only for 3.0!

pstat
Now releases memory as required. Only for 3.0!

New A/UX-MacOS Patch files
Drop-in replacements for Patch.0178 and Patch.067C found in /mac/lib/Patches. These files fix the A/UX- MacOS System heap expansion problems that prevent you from loading lots of memory hungry Extensions and CDEVs. This is fixed under 3.0.1 so do NOT install these under 3.0.1 !!!

SCSI ToolBox
A super-nice (and welcome!) extension that "implements" the Mac SCSI Manager under A/UX 3.0.x. This allows you to run applications and drivers that need to talk to the SCSI Manager to run. The main feature of this is that it allows you to listen to audio CDs under A/UX! Version 1.0b4 by Kelly King and Andrew Kass @ Apple.

New, more secure, sh for A/UX
Replacement for /bin/sh that fixes a few security holes, in SUID programs that use 'system()' or 'popen()', by resetting IFS before a script is executed. ** A MUST HAVE !! **

telnet and telnetd
Replacements for in.telnetd and telnet. Fixes some problems with the distribution copies as well as providing additional capabilities.

and then compare the relative brain size, we now find that the penguin's
brain is still smaller. But, and this is the point, it is larger than it WAS!"
